Hey hey, my wireless card is working again! I know that the two are almost certainly unrelated, but in my head I secretly attribute this to my unscrewing a corner of my laptop case to snap it back together properly where Dad's IT guys had... snapped it back together... improperly.

Shut up, this is a big day for me. Prior to this, the nuts-and-bolts-iest I've gotten with actual hardware is reattaching keys to the keyboard.

Although speaking of which, the <, key came off a few days ago, and the little plastic doohickey that attaches the, um, cap of the key to the keyboard is broken, which is... not so good for reattachment. I've just been pressing the little rubber nipple underneath, but that's starting to come loose too, and I'm vaguely reluctant to either start slopping glue around or use the touch-pad thingy under the nipple thingy, because that strikes me as the type of thing that will not take too much abuse. Annoying!

my spacebar broke once, and i did actually call dell to ask if they would send me a replacement (god loves a trier) but apparently you can only get entire replacement keyboards. :/

My last computer had no insert key and the n key and . . . one other key I can't remember were stuck on with tape. >.>

So, uh . . . try tape for your < key? It only works semi-well, but it's better than attacking the rubber nipple.
