Due to a black and bilious mixture of personal issues / most of family being really apathetic about Christmas this year / not having our own house back where we are allowed drag in foliage and decorate it / PMSing like a werewolf on hormone treatments, I am feeling unbelievably Grinchy and uncharitable towards the holiday spirit. But! Having been commanded to make an effort by my mother, I: got all my Christmas shopping done in the space of this morning (including something small for myself because I don't think anyone has gotten me anything yet and I would feel sad); purchased Other Supplies; came home; and endured the crossfire-bitching of "I need to cook in here! Where are you putting that? What are you doing? Maybe we'll need those green markers someday! Will those sticky dots leave a mark? Are you putting those Christmas cards exactly back in order when you're done?! Will this leave a mess?!?!?!" and MADE A GODDAMN CHRISTMAS TREE so we would have something to put the presents under.
