Okay, after two episodes, I have to say, I am kind of loving Fringe. Basic premise = awesome.
See? Awesome.
Also, Lance Reddick!!
Also, Joshua Jackson grew up fine. He doesn't look like a young George Clooney; rather he looks like George Clooney looks now, except... younger. I am 100% okay with this.
In other news, I finally tracked down Fake Tutor. Result: once I actually collared her, she was very helpful, and I now have a reading ticket for the library for the year. No borrowing privileges, but then I was only allowed borrow approximately 0.00000001% of the library collection as a regular undergrad, so. This does not exactly make a huge difference. I don't have a student card, though, which means I technically won't have access to the computer labs in general, and literally won't have access to those that require you to swipe your card to get in. This is not a big deal; I pretty much only need to use the labs for printing, so as long as I am not caught in a random ID check during the ten minutes it will take me to do so, I am fine. Otherwise, my account is still active, which means access to scholarly databases is still a-go, and likewise proxy access from home. \o/
Thus, tomorrow is for hunting professors, photocopying reading lists, syllabi, and lecture plans, and generally seeing What's What and how I am going to plan my time. Which means that, come Monday, I am (Sort Of) Back To School. I obviously haven't heard anything yet from the *mumble mumble* I sent my CV/cover letter to, since it's only been a few days (note to self: be home early on Monday to give them a follow-up call, maybe), but man! I don't want to count my eggs before they're hatched, but I also need to try and plan for that Possibility, vis-a-vis time management. Hmmm.
ETA: What! They have gone back to closing the library again on Sundays! Lamesauce.
Peter: "That's impossible!" Walter: "Luckily, I'm a mad scientist." |
