I do! Apparently critics didn't like it? But... I don't know, I just find it really mellow and playful - an excellent film to curl up and watch before bed, or (obviously) after a wearying day.

*beams* I am amassing quite a collection of those movies. If you ever need suggestions for other ones, lemme know? Until then, I think I will add it to my netflix queue. I am curious.

I watch my DVDs of Jeff Corwin and Anthony Bourdain. Or, when I'm feeling really down, I go straight for Romancing the Stone. My mom used to rent that for me from Blockbuster when I was sick as a kidlet, so it's my comfort movie.

speaking of m&c, first time I saw that film, I liked it, but it has just grown on me over the years to the point where I pretty much currently find everything about it to be perfect and amazing. this despite understanding that other people may and probably do find the film incredibly boring.

idk it just hits me at all my weak points: abiding friendship, sacrifice, understated grief, classical string musicians, genius tacticians, the Romance of Science, the sea, the Age of Sail, overwhelming dorkiness, beautiful cinematography, and Paul fuckin' Bettany, aka the most attractive human being on the face of the planet. (<--- empirical fact.)
