You know what makes everything okay? The fact that I can go, man, I'm feeling pretty crappy. (beat) BIG GAY BOAT MOVIE TIME.

♥settles in with pyjamas and hot chocolate♥

I also have back-up troops in the form of A Good Year and Ben & Jerry's. What?

*beams* I am amassing quite a collection of those movies. If you ever need suggestions for other ones, lemme know? Until then, I think I will add it to my netflix queue. I am curious.

I watch my DVDs of Jeff Corwin and Anthony Bourdain. Or, when I'm feeling really down, I go straight for Romancing the Stone. My mom used to rent that for me from Blockbuster when I was sick as a kidlet, so it's my comfort movie.

And you okay, bb? -hugs- RAHM SAYS HE WILL CUT THE BITCH WHO MADE YOU SAD.

I just rewatched it the other weekend and wrote a big gushy paean of love to it which I had to delete out of embarrassment. then I wrote it againfkljglkdjfkgjldkjfgk

then, to somehow channel my overwhelming love in a more productive manner, I went back and took like a bazillion screencaps.

WELL THE THIRD TIME AROUND I MANAGED TO CONDENSE IT TO LIKE 2 PARAGRAPHS ---- *reposts stupid gushing just for you*

speaking of m&c, first time I saw that film, I liked it, but it has just grown on me over the years to the point where I pretty much currently find everything about it to be perfect and amazing. this despite understanding that other people may and probably do find the film incredibly boring.

idk it just hits me at all my weak points: abiding friendship, sacrifice, understated grief, classical string musicians, genius tacticians, the Romance of Science, the sea, the Age of Sail, overwhelming dorkiness, beautiful cinematography, and Paul fuckin' Bettany, aka the most attractive human being on the face of the planet. (<--- empirical fact.)

----- originally the list went on for many more paragraphs :| :| and included things like ninjas and spies and knowing looks and lame humor and are you a doctor too then mr blakeney and killick killick killick ♥ and tom pullings and idk my adoration has reached ridiculous levels, I even like poor stupid hollom fkjgldkfg and the unfortunate dude who falls overboard. I squealed at the iguana shot when they came back to the galapagos for stephen's surgery fjgkjdfg. I am beyond help. XD

I own all of the Horatio Hornblowers? IS A LOT ALIKE. VERY GAY AND BRITISH AND FILLED WITH PRETTY AND SET AT SEA, AMIRITE?

Dude, Rahm would not only staple them to their desks, he would mail them dead fish, withhold cheesecake, and scream at them until they cried and stopped ignoring your emails.

oh my god I hate it when people ignore my emails. it sends me into a rage like nothing else.

especially when they tell me to email them and then a) don't reply for 3 days and b) when they finally do reply, it is clear they didn't actually read the email >:F

people need to learn internet manners >:F

god, yeah, it just gets better every time, doesn't it. I feel like I have to go watch that scene now, just to see Jack smile D: D: D:

they're both so perfect in their roles D:

I haven't watched Hollom's death scene backwards -- is there some significance to doing so?
