Does the prose style of The Red Necklace get any less 'herp derp oh wait I forgot to mention at the beginning of this joke that the horse was blue' as the book goes on? Because I have heard so many good things about it, but after two bus rides' worth of reading, I seriously just want to take a giant red pen to the text and ship it back to the publisher.
