ETA: And a question that I have. I've spent the past few minutes looking for one, but haven't really managed to root up anything similar - aside from That One there is for Our Game. So: does anyone know of any (alive!) communities for pimping canons? Not unlike ship_manifesto, only for, uh. Canons. Books, tv shows, movies, comics, whathaveyou. I mean, it'd be something I'd love to have, especially since *points up*.

There is crack_van, and their pimps are really well-done: a brief intro to the premise of the canon, some keyboardmashing about why you love it, a who's who of the main characters (and keyboardmashing about why you love them), and a short guide to the fandom on the interwebs and on LJ. BUT, crack_van is like 90% fic recs, and I'd much prefer to have something I could keep on my default-view flist without being spammed with 43948503945 fics every day. So... anybody any suggestions? Anybody? Bueller?

If not, would anybody else be interested in something like this? I know I definitely have some shows that want pimping. And in my fantasy comm, crack_van has mated with one of Those Communities; pimp posts could include links to a central friends-only post where canons can - where possible - be made partially/wholly available for *cough* sharing. I'm just sayin'.

Anyway, I'm in one of those sort of restless moods - brought on, of course, by having the biggest shitload ever shat by man of work to do - and I... dunno. As disruptive as they are, and as bad a person as I'm sure this makes me, I'm really in the mood for a hate meme right now. And I don't even have hardly anybody to hate on! Really I just want to procrastinate by vicariously relieving my irritability and crankiness through the bitching of others, whilst also using juicy gossip about who is and isn't actually a man/MsScribe/sieving funds off the top of the Save The Ent Reservation Charity to hide from the accusing gaze of my essays.
