Okay, so by 9am this morning, the first day of teaching term, my online timetable was still showing up as a blank grid; I toddled hence up to the sixth floor of the arts block to find the Senior Sophister course timetables sitting on the noticeboard, which was super, but... no list of which students had gotten their first-come-first-served places on which modules. Which, knowing when and where classes are, but not which ones you are supposed to go to, is not really all that useful. Also no information re: assignation of thesis supervisors. So I'm all, does everyone else already know which course they're in? Were there emails? I didn't get any emails! Damn TCD MyMail -> MyZone switch, I bet this is responsible! Or things got posted and got lost instead of getting rerouted to temporary NewHouse! I BET I'VE MISSED CRITICAL MEETINGS OR SOMETHING.

Since the office is inaccessible due to a crowd of confused visiting Socrates students, I head back to electronic sources... and WebCT tells me that I currently have 'No Courses'. UH. Did my day-late payment of registration fees (I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF MOVING) somehow erase me from the system? WHAT'S GOING ON.

I eventually fight my way through the international herd clogging up the Classics department, answer the sphinx's riddle to get into the office, and timidly ask what's up. I find out that they're STILL finalising the lists of which Senior Sophister students are taking which courses, and still compiling thesis supervisor lists, and these will all go up later (maybe) today. Also that the thesis1 supervisor2 I kinda wanted/needed is ON LEAVE THIS TERM ASLKSDJFLA. And my first class is on Wednesday. Or maybe Thursday. One of those. I'll find out when the student<->class lists go up. Which... will be later (maybe) today.

So I guess I'll just go buy some stationery and... chill?
