If Bill Adama EVER FINDS OUT what Gaeta did.

HELL TO FUCKING PAY.

And about ten minutes into Lee's monologue I found it stopped being less affecting and more STFU ABOUT YOUR MANPAIN. Which made me sad. Because you could tell the writers had been working up to that for a long long time and it fell flat. :(

SEE?!?

Wait, wait! I don't think Kara is a Cylon! I still think Roslin is a cylon. Kara is just...something else. See! In the original BSG series, Starbuck is killed and brought back to life by aliens to fly in their magical ship of lights and finds Earth.

AND THEN. Starbuck, our Starbuck, gets killed in a magical storm, and suddenly SHE IS ALIVE after all the writers and creators kept saying she was DEAD DEAD DEAD. Kara = SOMETHING ELSE. Not human, not cylon.

And I loved Aspen's theory last night. That the music all through out the last sequence was actual music from Earth that the cylons were more sensitive to and were being transferred through clouds of matter.

ASFDLKJK;LJADSFFSDKJL!!!! DFSKJHAS??

I'm probably the only one displeased by the notion of the final five being long standing crew members. I just don't like it. I think it's cheap.

The whole "There is only one Cylon/Baby hybrid" build up was for nothing? Is that what they're telling us?

Meh.
Meh, I say.

You're not the only one displeased by it. Anders and Tory? Fine, whatever, don't really care. But...Adama knows Saul Tigh. Has known him for YEARS. I don't see how they can make that work without some SERIOUS retconning. And retconning is fucking lame.

[identity profile] agoodshinkickin.livejournal.com 2007-03-26 03:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I think maybe they all just went to the same dentist and got some funky filling that picks up radio signals.

Personally, I'd prefer it if all of them were at one point held captive by the Cylons on New Caprica, and that something was done to them there.

...ooooh. Yes. And all of them were really active in the insurgency. And PTSD and repression would not be unthematic, so to speak.

And -- if they were Cylons, and they'd all been activated?

Why the hell wasn't Roslin there to join them? Roslin also was held for a while. And -- the Cylon fleet tracked a radiation signature on a tanker; maybe they put some kind of tracking chip or something? Thing. Yes.

[identity profile] agoodshinkickin.livejournal.com 2007-03-26 03:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I like the idea of there being a tracker inside of Tigh's eye, but that's just me.

I just...I find it hard to believe that the Cylons can't smell their own. I mean, THEY'RE ROBOTS UNDERNEATH IT ALL! How do you torture a robot and not realize it's a robot the whole time!

*cackles*

And...yeah. There's evidence against it -- Boomer!Sharon and Aaron Doral, early on -- but with the exception of Caprica Six and Xena Q. Cylon, we don't really see inner thinking from the perspective of the Cylons. So -- they could realize it? And just not give anything away. Or something.

...oh, I like that theory. But if they go in that direction I'm just kind of going to die a little because it is like HI DARK TOWER.

And 'Black Market' aside, I have COMPLETE faith in the writers to do something completely and mindblowingly excellent with this. Mostly because with the major arcs, they have never disappointed. The argument against everybody being Cylons is more...it's improbable because it's cheap and the writers don't do cheap. If that makes sense?

[identity profile] sparklegirl79.livejournal.com 2007-03-26 05:35 pm (UTC)(link)
But Black Market was all to do with Lee, and the writers haven't known what to do with him for ages. Poor Lee, he never gets the writing he deserves.

Somebody on one of the TV Without Pity forum had a theory that they weren't Cylons themselves, but the children of Cylons. Like... there were actual hybrids all along. Maybe Tyrol is just wrong about what that means. Maybe Cally's gonna freak out, and then we won't have to see her any more, though this episode I actually didn't mind her. Whatever. I also saw a theory that the entire fleet are Cylons, and them forgetting it is just this part of a huge Cylon civil war that's been going on for ages. I don't know how I really feel about all that, but it supports my theory that everybody's actually from Earth originally and not Kobol. But That's just me being weird.
