So - as of yesterday, and my dad's final decision to go ahead with basically blowing out the entire bottom of the house and rebuildng it, we have... two weeks to find somewhere to live until the middle/end of January.

This morning, my mother: "Sophie, find us somewhere to live on The Internet! In our current neighbourhood. With five bedrooms. That will allow a dog. For less than €3,000 a month. OKAY GO."

*cries*

(What with having been living in a state of everything-I-own-in-boxes since April, waiting for my new room to be finished - which it was, less than a week ago - I am... thrilled.)

Anyway, uh. Once we find somewhere to live, then I will know whether or not - aside from blessed, wonderful university computer labs - I am going to be Offline for the next four months.

CAN I JUST HAVE SOMEWHERE TO SLEEP AND PUT MY STUFF, FOR GOD'S SAKE.

We've found a couple of 4-bedroom properties in the general Blackrock-y area, and some 5-bedroom places in Sandymount and Ballsbridge, which are both on DART/bus lines for Trinity and my sister's school, so I think we'll probably find something that more or less works for everyone. The major hurdles will probably be whether or not they allow pets, and - if we end up going with a 4-bedroom - who will be sharing/exiled to the couch.

(Needless to say, having been waiting for somewhere to Actually Live for the past six months, my position w/r/t the latter is fairly strong. XD)

Any luck with your plan to stay in top part of house? Or is that not feasible? Because then if The Internet only turns up a place with 4 bedrooms you would be doing everyone a favor. ;)

But it's probably not possible... my sister is doing something similar and I had to get all my stuff out of the attic. With the way she had to chase after everyone to do it, I don't think this was just a clever ploy.
