sophistry: ([Misc] DO NOT WANT)

(no subject)

I have a slight hoarding problem. Just a smidge. *coughUNDERSTATEMENTcough* So the process of packing everything up and throwing away as much as possible - for the second time this year - is just a wee bit traumatic. Such that, after throwing away a full third of all my clothes, when I find myself anxiously trying to sneak tchotchkes and old coverless cushions and junk off the general for-dumping pile, that is when I need to go be alone in my attic kingdom.

Meaning, dad - please don't pick hiding-time to shout at me to finish clearing my old room. I WILL. I just. need. to chill. for a bit.

you've done so much moving around, i seriously don't know how you haven't killed everyone yet.

my sympathies.

Oh, do I know how you feel. I can (mostly, sorta, with wailing and gnashing of teeth) deal with the kind of moving that means I gather stuff for a year in a dorm and figure out what I want to bring while leaving everything else in its piles of sentimental value and MAYBE I WILL WANT THIS SOMEDAY and so forth in my room. But the kind that involves throwing things out? AUGH.

Quiet time is important. If people only understood that it was for their own benefit. *sigh*

Btw, every time I see that icon I laugh out loud. This is less than decorous at work.
