I'm feeling a bit rotten after my birthday, and semi-internet-exile, etc. Therefore, I think everyone should remind me why their friends - and by extension, humanity - are wonderful. Dance for me, monkeys. Also, pimp this. Seriously. These things suck if nobody shows up.

Way more talented at a lot of things than she gives herself credit for. Great, funny, able to lend an ear for (sometimes literally) hours, and never gets mad if I tell the same joke twice. That, and most of our conversations crac me up long after we've finished them.

I've only known her a few months, but she is an incredible person to know. She's so thoughtful and worldly, so aware of humanity and the subtleties of life. She recommends the most amazing poetry, and I have her to thank for getting me hooked on Yevtushenko. Her words are like breath.
