(no subject)

I'm feeling a bit rotten after my birthday, and semi-internet-exile, etc. Therefore, I think everyone should remind me why their friends - and by extension, humanity - are wonderful. Dance for me, monkeys. Also, pimp this. Seriously. These things suck if nobody shows up.

What's not to love about Rami? She's just one of the most caring people I know, and constantly goes out of her way for people. She invited me to stay for two weeks in her newly nesting apartment when she barely even knew me. She's also smart and remarkably open minded, which is a rare combination, and the way she approaches life as a leanring experience is inspiring.

I can't not adore someone who picked me up at the airport for first Millicon. Rami was very welcoming and put me at ease in excruciatingly hot DC.

Rami is one of those people whose posts I never skip, even if we've never really talked. She's just incredibly intelligent and fascinating and funny.

I adore Rami. She's been my co-conspirator a lot lately, and she never fails to amuse me -- She's gotten me out of a rotten mood with well-timed e-mails frequently enough that I suspect she does it on purpose.

Wish we were on the same coast, as she and Selkie would NEVER get rid of me (unless, you know, they asked me to go away). ;)
