I'm feeling a bit rotten after my birthday, and semi-internet-exile, etc. Therefore, I think everyone should remind me why their friends - and by extension, humanity - are wonderful. Dance for me, monkeys. Also, pimp this. Seriously. These things suck if nobody shows up.

Meg is fabulous. She somehow manages to always ping me when I'm away from the computer these days, but I won't hold it against her. ;) But, seriously, the highest praise that I think that I can say about Meg is just by saying that, the first time that we spoke, I was having -- let's go with 'a really bad night.' No one I knew was around, things were rough, and I remembered that this girl who I had just friended and didn't really know had left me a comment on my LJ expressing sympathy and telling me to ping her, if I wanted to. I waffled for a while and almost didn't, but I wound up pinging, and Meg talked to me for hours, listening and giving advice and helping me research things and making me laugh, and I am and always will be grateful for how she much she helped keep me together that night, and how much of a rock she has been since then.

She's loyal and considerate and fun as hell; she understands my New England pride and my Red Sox adoration, she's an incredibly genuine, honest person who cracks me up, and we are going to have babies and raise them up right.

Love, Meg, seriously. We're going to meet up and geek out, whether it's over sports or more traditionally geeky things, one of these days.
