I'm feeling a bit rotten after my birthday, and semi-internet-exile, etc. Therefore, I think everyone should remind me why their friends - and by extension, humanity - are wonderful. Dance for me, monkeys. Also, pimp this. Seriously. These things suck if nobody shows up.

Kat makes me happy. First off, she plays Mary Anne Bell from The Things They Carried, and second off, she plays her well. She took a secondary character in a short story and fleshed her out into this fabulous strong character, and I have so much respect for that. Second of all, I just really enjoy reading her journal entries; she has a fun, easy writing style and manner that's just fun, and on the occasion or two that we've talked, she's been a total sweetheart.
