I've talked before about my planet-sized issues with the tiniest hints of feeling like I deserve or have a right to something - even things like basic goddamn respect, or acknowledgement that I might matter, or to not be treated a certain way - and the way in which I act in order to compensate for these issues. And I've talked, in part at least, about the way the past year has beaten and ground and electroshocked even that out of me.

But you know what? Godfuckingdammit, I deserve not to be halted in the middle of simply gathering my stuff to head to class with a jab of a finger and a "My god, you've a huge wad of fat here. It must be all those fizzy drinks." I have a goddamn right not to be told for no fucking reason, by my own grandmother, that the way I look is not acceptable.
