What a day. There may be bitching later. I JUST WANT TO LEARN, TRINITY. WHY WON'T YOU LET ME LEARN.
For now, though, on my ohjesusgivemecaffeinenow escape from the library, let me just say this.
If you want a solid and meaty period drama with complex story out its arse: don't go and see Elizabeth: The Golden Age.
If, however, you want a feast for the eyes and ears whose sheer spectacular beauty as a piece of art claws its way from the screen and speakers right down into your gut and then rips the tears out of you by force: run, don't walk, to see Elizabeth: The Golden Age.
I saw it on the Really Big Screen, and came out shaking.
I don't think I've ever really gotten the phrase 'a great and terrible beauty' until now.
Oh my god, you guys.
(Has anyone else seen it and reacted this strongly? Please say you have. Oh my GOD.)
