Big Christmas Meal is not for a few hours yet, but apparently "I'm going to get dressed but I have to use these bowls/spoons/baking implements again after I do, so just leave them out on the counter" now means "Put all the baking implements in the dishwasher and start running it, so that I have to use all new ones and generate twice the amount of dirty dishes I would otherwise".
Only thing I've had to eat today: cold sausage biscuits. Christmas dinner is the cold cuts on stale bread we brought with us in a cooler. I spent my day dozing in the back of a car being bored out of my skull and driving through the boondocks. In the rain.
If there was cake to leave out, it would have been left.
Can I join in if the entire day leading up to Christmas dinner sucked but the dinner itself was kind of ok simply because I was about two degrees away from comatose after the running around and general insanity?
