I have been reading Desolation Island on the bus back and forth the last few days, and saturating myself with perfect fic, and last night we watched Master & Commander in our new TV room set-up, with warm fire and immersive surround sound, and then - the past few days of extremely patchy sleep catching up with me - I went upstairs to my cozy attic room around which on all sides it has been storming most terribly since 8pm last night, and slept, as snug and sound as I ever have, for ten hours.

Patrick O'Brian just makes life better.

I KNOW, RIGHT. I finished it and kind of wanted to cry because I'd just read Master & Commander genderfuck mpreg AUfic and loved it. IT WAS AMAZING. But now I feel sort of... liberated. I have no more shame barriers.
