Okay, so this is what happens when you spend four days up to your ears in dissertation work and ignore the world outside. Apparently there has been shit going down at the Rath Lugh encampment of the police violence and fire brigades kind? Anyone have proper updates?

(I'm not sure I can convey the gut punch that is surfacing for a breath of air from a study of ogham and Irish and whether the pre-Christian filĂ knew Latin and lskadfjas; even-as-I-whine-I-love-my-country to find out about this.)
ETA: For the bewildered and foreign, context, in (very) brief: the gubmint is building a motorway through the Tara/Skryne valley. Yeah, that Tara. The Hill of Tara Tara. Yeah. I'm not doing that meme, but this is something I haven't blogged about. I should.

I mean, at least they're bringing attention to the stupid government policies, but they never seem to mention that the archaeology is done. They finished digging last year. There's nothing left to protect, except the landscape itself, which would be ruined even by rerouting the road and GAH. Such a mess.
