Are you bored? Discontented? Filled with a certain unnameable consumerist ennui? Of course you are. You've run out of TV shows to fill the 'twixt-season void, you've finished all the books in your to-read pile. Your favourite comic-book has ended. Everything on Netflix sucks. You've been listening to the same three albums on repeat for months, your hair is tired of the same old products, you want to meet some new people on LJ, and dammit, you're sick of always making the same thing for dinner.

And I am here to solve all your problems.

Ya rly.

The concept, she is trés simple! Click on the appropriate letter above, and leave your username in a comment, like so. Link back to it from your LJ, and people will pimp stuff to you!

If you're looking for something in particular (anything from book recs or a new fandom to yummy vegetarian recipes or a good indie coffee shop in your area) just say so in your comment. Otherwise, my pimptastic friends, feel free to reply to people with anything and everything you think they'd like - and feel even freer to wax lyrical about why.

If, in shame over your love for Paula Abdul or harlequin romance novels, you feel the need to go anonymous, IP logging is off. But, fair warning, douchebaggery will be deleted.

You have probably seen [livejournal.com profile] jillicons before, but consider this a reminder to go back. :D I have been recced this icon site many times and liked it enough to bookmark and visit to gape occasionally. She (he?) has been kind of focused on the comic stuff lately, but really they are all SO DIFFERENT.

And the stuff at [livejournal.com profile] le_fetish is less frequently updated, a different style, but still beautiful. I want to change my whole layout to match one of their friends-only banners. Or... I would if I had any sort of aptitude with LJ styles. I will get there! *determined*

Since I can't edit comments any more because LJ are whores, I should add that I'm particularly in the market for happy gay sap. But I'm amply willing to be pimped anything and everything.

[livejournal.com profile] unravels

I have to be pretty specific, I think. I have had series recced to me that are in a pile by my computer, tv shows filling up the Tivo, books gathering dust under the window (not enough room left on the shelves), movies in the middle of my neverending Netflix queue, etc etc etc. It is not that I don't believe these things are going to be wonderful. It's that I spent my weekend doing jobsearches, sleeping, and cleaning out my linen closet. Things that were on The List. I also had 'work on new story' and 'watch more [anime series]' on The List, but I didn't get there. I don't think I am that busy (see: sleeping) but I am still notorious for watching/reading/seeing something and being excited about it that everyone else saw/read/watched two years ago.

So! Rec me something that I can see/do/make, start to finish, in 30 minutes or less. Commitment to anything longer apparently makes me put stuff on the Special Shelf for 'later' which may come in a few years, and I want to be able to tell you how awesome it is now. It's really terrible. I'm beginning to think I have the attention span of a gnat.

:D It's pretty rare to find a half hour of television that both makes me laugh a lot and which I don't come out of feeling dumber. I will never look at bananas the same way again. And holiday themed! XD Awesome, as suspected - thank you. :]

You can see the Food Court Musical in under five minutes!

:D That was fantastic!! Why can this not happen in my local food court? They all look so very similar...

Thank you!
