I am having a day of doing NOTHING AT ALL, and oh man, it is so amazing. Although I think all the overwrought FREAKOUTS I did not let myself succumb to during the last week of dissertation-writing are now bubbling to the surface; I totally cried at the end of Pride and Prejudice, which has not happened before.

Upside: Simon Woods is actually made of sunlight and springtime as Mr. Bingley (I mean, holy shit, fucking look at this guy, holy fuck), and now I am going to watch the first episode of Cranford. Mmm, period costume Simon Woods.

ETA: Oh dear Jesus god in heaven. I actually made a NOISE at my laptop screen when I found this.

And I might add that I was (re-re-re-re-re-)watching Dress to Kill last night, and Eddie Izzard has a riff on the lameness of the Roman pantheon before they up and stole all the Greek Gods, and one of the names mentioned was Simon, the god of hairdos.
