I have a vague urge to do some kind of Moleskine project. For example, I break in a new Moleskine, then send it on to someone. That someone fills up however many pages they want, with whatever they want - writing, journalling, poetry, photos, art, collages, ticket stubs, postal stamps, recipes, lolcats, whatever. And when they're done, they send it on to the next person, and so on and so forth until it arrives back home. And then maybe I could scan it for people so they can see what came after their part?

Would people be interested in doing something like that?

It's a nifty idea.

The other option, instead of scanning at the end would, I suppose, be that each person involved purchases his or her own notebook to start with and then all notebooks are sort of sent around in a circle until every has his or her own back. The problem there, of course, is a) shipping costs adding up and b) a lot of notebooks in the mail to keep track of, along with the suck if one or two gets lost.

But I throw the possibility out anyway, and I would be interested either way, yes.

*considers* I can see it taking away the spontaneous element if someone did the same thing for each notebook, yes, but I think if when each notebook came the recipient sat down and wrote/drew/whatever something on whim that it would work out all right.

Admittedly, that doesn't address potential shipping problems. But I think the spontaneity could be preserved.

Wooo! I'm in! Maybe we should make sure that everyone knows when I have it, though, to make sure it moves on in a timely manner? I think I have a problem. :[
