I am not shocked, honestly! And actually find it totally believable, for reasons which are too numerous to list. I mean, in terms of build-up, it was kind of clumsily-done, what with everything they had to drop because of the writer's strike, but a little actual thinking reveals that all the groundwork? Totally there. And so I don't find it out-of-character at all.
Which is not the same as not being TOTALLY HEARTBROKEN. THE POOR BABY.
Yup, 20-20 hindsight does support the finale, but honestly, i was almost convinced it was Hodgins until he came in acting all shifty to Cam, about his house in the neighbourhood; i then decided he was too obvious, and watched as the drama unfolded in front of my eyes!
Still, the crying after his logic was disproven? I nearly cried with him. And he now has no hands too
I am still very bold though, watching this, with the *whispers* exams upon us. I should be studying Superconductivity, not tearing up over Bones.....
You know what is devastating? If you watch the episode a second time, you realise that Hodgins acting all weird and suspicious? Is because he's the first one to figure it out.

Have a glass of water ready, just so you can spit it out in shock when you see the end. :-)

You know, i think you might be right. Poor Hodgins, first he maims his best friend, and then finds out he's been deceived by him. Aw...
