Room cleaning - it's like the bastard son of real productivity. Which is not to say that my room is actually clean, mind. Just that you can, you know, see the floor, and even walk on it without (too much) fear of stumbling over a pillow, tripping over a knee-high stack of Monster, and dashing your brains out on the Firefly box-set and/or the complete Rome.

Since my dad has absconded to Wales for a week to see Top Gear, and did so without telling me or making an important vet appointment for the dog, I am contemplating hijacking the wee tv set in his room until he comes home and notices. Mostly, I confess, for the purposes of dusting off the poor old PS2 and making a fresh start on all those games that got interrupted by/stashed away during/somehow never picked up again after the major renovations and multiple house-movings of the past year and more. To wit: Kingdom Hearts, Prince of Persia: the Two Thrones, and FFXII. I would have gotten back to them before now, only what with the wall-to-wall SOUTH-FACING glass doors, the new tv room is over-bright and warm as hell during the day,1 not to mention my dad's genius idea of mounting the tv a mile off the floor on one wall, and putting the couches against the opposite one, meaning none of the cables reach.2 So. Not exactly an ideal or comfortable gaming environment.

1I told him so.
2I told him so.

Oh, your father. My only memory is this: Driving me home (so I wouldn't get mugged in that tree-infested neighborhood) with Pink's "Get the Party Started" going as loud as possible.

But yes, absolutely you must PS2 some more.
