Surprise: not going to jinx it, IT MIGHT BE NOTHING, but tomorrow is for working on the ol' CV.
UNsurprise: 40-something pages into The Golden Ocean, am completely and utterly charmed, particularly by one Mr. Peregrine FitzGerald s;djfk'asjs. Oh, Patrick O'Brian.
Something-completely-unrelated-to-surprises: I have now emailed (Friday) and left a voicemail (today) with Substitute Tutor. I appreciate that it is Fresher's Week, the start of term, et cetera, but if she does not get back to me very quickly, I am going to be exceedingly displeased. Where by 'exceedingly displeased', I mean 'starting to freak the fuck out'. This is kind of a pressing matter.
