Palin Prank Call: Canadian Comedy Duo Convinces Palin She's Talking To Sarkozy

This... is simultaneously EPIC, and the most uncomfortable thing I have ever had to listen to. I just. OH SARAH PALIN NO. Someone in the comments said it best: these guys spent five minutes on the phone with Sarah Palin and did a better job vetting her than John McCain.

*curls up in a ball* If there is one thing that sets off my embarrassment squick more than ANYTHING ELSE, it's prank calls. I am trying to have an opinion about Sarah Palin but it keeps getting swallowed by the fact that I can't even think about it without squirming.

On the one hand, I'm mortified. But on the other... the thought of her being one person away from being one of the most important people in the world is just. Horrifying. D:
newredshoes: possum, "How embarrassing!" (yeah. I buy that.)

I'm going to side with one of the commenters on that HuffPo page: "Don't feel sorry for Palin. She has viciously attacked Obama with lie after lie after lie - all done in her gleefully smiling manner. And regarding her own faults and failings? She denies everything as naturally as taking a breath.

You don't have to have a high IQ to be a vicious opportunist."

Not just Obama. She has told me that I don't count. So fuck her in the ear. You get what you pay for.

Dude. She makes me sick, absolutely SICK.

I watched the debates and while she was (somehow) able to form a coherent sentence, by that point she was too far gone for me to even care.

Her interviews with Charlie Gibson and Katie Couric were all I needed to see. And sure, her interview with Charlie wasn't particularly "fair," but come ON, Katie Couric was nothing but polite and, well, professional. Palin couldn't even answer what NEWSPAPERS she read. That's not opportunistic journalism, that's just you (Palin) being a dumbass.

God, I hate the religious right...

*winces* I don't like her. (Uh, shockingly.)

In fact, I kind of despise her.

I still...cringe at this, sorta. It satisfies the small, vicious part of me, but I tend to not like myself much when that part's being satisfied.
