HELLO. I AM BACK. I know, you didn't notice I was gone. Where by 'gone', I mean 'I deleted my LJ for 24 hours because of ESSAYS'. But I have devoted ten hours to Emperors vs. Christians, and now I am going to have a cheese sandwich and some wine and go to bed. Which means you have eight hours to spam me with love1 before this LJ disappears again. SERIOUSLY GUYS, I MEAN IT. I AM DEMANDING YOUR AFFECTION. GO. And I better not hear any pansy excuses like 'family' or 'Thanksgiving', either.

1Um, in the form of... whatever. Drabbles! Macros! ACTUALLY YOU KNOW WHAT, I WOULD REALLY LOVE YOUR FAVOURITE POWER-STUDY MUSIC. *_*

Emperors vs. Christians, eh? I'm actually writing a paper of my own right now, one that's kinda sorta related. I'm doing a Latin commentary on the portrayal of Nero by Tacitus and Suetonius. It's been fun and interesting, but slow going. :O I'd spam you with love too, if it weren't for its needing to be finished imminently.

Good luck on everything though! <3

I am away from my desktop full of music and must sleep to bake the turkey!

Oh, I have stuffs on box.net!

I don't really listen to music to study. But I do have my "break" soundtrack that full of either meaningless pop music or old-fashioned country and mountain music (um, I'm accidentally writing my minor on Appalachian culture. I DON'T KNOW HOW IT HAPPENED!).

Alphabeat - Fascination

Alphabeat - 10,000 Nights

DAMN YOU EUROPEAN POP GROUPS! This whole album is on repeat lately.

Beyonce - Single Ladies [Put a Ring On It]

I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS! I just keep playing it and then dorky dancing around the house while cleanings. And sometimes watching the music video on youtube and making ???????? at the INSANE dance routine she does. So strange. So addictive.

...I'll refrain from torturing you with my country playlist. OFF TO MAKE TURKEY PLANS!

Bouncy Starbuck vids set to Pink music are what got me through my thesis! But I expect you have/have seen those.

I tend to either listen to classical music or movies/TV that I know well enough that I don't need to pay attention. Usually the first works better, although I'm using the second right now as encouragement to pack. :)

Have any particular preferences on that score? I have a selection of things that I could sort through to share, if you want!

Wait, what? *dashes back to other post*

...

*returns, kicking LJ in the SHINS on the way*

WELL OKAY THEN. That's what I get for trying to be sneaky and use the other interface from work to sneak around the webfilter restrictions. GAH. I am sorry! I will resend -- or type up and post under lock for review, now that I am home and can do so!

I think "The Geek Shall Inherit" by Wir sind Helden is a great pick-me-up! Maybe ... too great?

I am writing the most Godawful essay on Old Testament Prophecy right now, and am returning to my favourite power-essay song, which is from my Aubreyad music folder. (Shhhh. ¬¬) It got me through last term, along with the second one I'm uploading. :D

Into the Ocean - Blue October
What a Good Boy - Barenaked Ladies

Oh! And last night I wrote some Aubreyad drabbles for another flister in need; is was for the prompt 'Jack and Stephen in old age'.

Stephen held out his arms to Padeen as he toddled towards them, but the plump child swerved with a knowing, suspicious look that he had inherited from his grandmother to Jack; he knew from being the coddled youngest grandchild that Grandpapa Jack was a far more comfortable seat than Daideó Stephen. Jack could not quite suppress the broad, smug, grin that spread across his face - paler now. Stephen tossed the rosin at him, hitting him on the forehead, his aim unaffected. Padeen and Jack laughed, going pink together, Brigid scolded her father, and it was Stephen’s turn to smile.

:O

I have been listening to Maahi Ve ALL AFTERNOON. It honest-to-God helps with essay crises.

I totally noticed you were gone. I worried.

Aerosmith - Road Runner. If you like Aerosmith, this is a very underappreciated album. If you don't, it is underappreciated because it doesn't sound like traditional Aerosmith. If you try it and like it, lemme know?

I did in fact notice you were baleeted but I figured it was academic in purpose so I was waiting it out. Which policy has proven to be brilliant.
