Today I have:

1) made it through some 130 pages on, variously: a historical-ethnographic deconstruction of Sophocles' transposition of the Oedipus myth, lololol 'primal parricide' (Freud: doing it wrong since 1900), and cases for, against, and irritatingly indecisive on the universality of the Oedipus complex as evidenced by undeveloped Melanesian island societies, and

2) given the (extremely uncooperative) dog a bath and trim.

Laptop screen still (ETA: PERIODICALLY, LKADJFLSDSJD) attached; I would love never to have to read phrases like 'infantile anal eroticism' or 'the exchange of anal "gifts" between Trobriand child and father' again, but will need to tomorrow; I am going to have a beer, watch some old House, and nap.
