Erin, on InsaneJournal, is a 29-year-old single female living in the USA, who suffers from two neurological disorders: Chiari malformation and cranial lesions. Together, these will require a total of between 2-4 brain surgeries. The deposit for the first of these could be anything between $1500-$5000. Surgical consult says: ASAP. Erin hasn't been able to work for a year; because she has no children, she doesn't qualify for Medicaid in her state.
She's trying to qualify for the MegaUploads rewards program; according to MegaUpload, if she manages 5 million downloads, she will receive a reward of $10,000. The file is a .txt file, a letter detailing her situation, and is less than 3kb. I've downloaded it - it's virus-free - and have it bookmarked to return to daily; one download per day per IP address is counted.
Check out her post, and see if you can spare the 0.5 seconds it takes to help, and the few minutes more it takes to pass the word on.

I'm feeling a bit rotten after my birthday, and semi-internet-exile, etc. Therefore, I think everyone should remind me why their friends - and by extension, humanity - are wonderful. Dance for me, monkeys. Also, pimp this. Seriously. These things suck if nobody shows up.
