Oh, panic attacks, I have not missed you. Self, take a break, take a diazepam, and watch an episode of The West Wing whilst it kicks in and calms you the hell down. And remember, self: it is the first chapter of your first draft of your dissertation. As long as you turn in something, anything, with a vague semblance of a similarity of what you intend it to eventually be, it'll be fine.

*hugs* It'll be okay. As long you, er, don't fall asleep watching Tenipuri and wake up at 8.30am the next day with nothing written with your chapter due at 9am, you'll be fine. Take your time and don't knock off the chapter in half an hour like I did. (Man, that lambasting was, er, rough and the chapter was ultimately trashed.)

So stay as calm as possible, plot ruin for Trinity's library, but take your time with it. It's a first draft that will most likely have changed a lot by the time you hand it in. And one thing that I've been trying to tell myself a lot these past few days: it's not life nor death. No matter what the lecturers would have us believe.

I'm going to see a preview of The Golden Compass after work next Wednesday, if you want to come? If college is killing you, no worries. Only bit of warning is that you're going to have to cope with me being a spazzing wreak because this film will hopefully be awesome. *crosses fingers*

True words. It's meant to show progress, 'tis all, and just doing SOMETHING on it will help, I think.

Yes. :) Draft of draft, etc. And having just spent 8 hours on a plane to land in a strange airport, I am with you on the sentences making hard is thing.

:O 'Back' is relative, as am still in DC airport pecking at the phone, but yes! Your dream sounds absolutely terrifying. There are so many versions of the Terrible Events of The Future, and almost all of them are horrifying on one level or another. We are all just kind people that way.

I had to move locations even in the airport because the corner I'd found was getting colder accompanied by the most blood-chilling shriek of wind I'd ever heard in a public place. Also I've been reading Watchmen on the plane...off and on...for 8 hours...so I'm not in the most rational frame of mind anyway. I have to concentrate to avoid Rorschach's speech patterns. ♥!!!

And CSS? :o

How long does this dissertation thing of yours have to be? Oh, how I hated writing my honours thesis!
