This is why I hate being late and/or suspiciously cramp-free around That Time: I am always afraid that my uterus is waiting to AMBUSH ME HORRIBLY, CRY HAVOC AND LET LOOSE THE DOGS OF WAR, SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS. And I am usually right.

I'm always afraid I'm pregnant when late/cramp-free, so actual perioding is like a messy little gift.
