...Yeah, I just rewatched the last two episodes of Rome. HOT FICTIONALISED ROMANS CURRENTLY MUCH MORE INTERESTING THAN THEORETICAL WANK-CAUSING ONES. WHAT CAN I DO.
Anyway, yes. This show. If you have not watched it, then... I don't know what I can say to you. You are an empty vessel leading a joyless life. I have many reasons I could give you, but right now, have just the one really, REALLY compelling one.

I really loved S2 Octavian, though. :( I thought it was a pretty logical progression of what would happen if you took the already warped kid of S1, sent him off into the hinterfucklands of the empire for a few years, and then gave him an army to bring back to the city that murdered his uncle and essentially beat him up and kicked him out. MY FAVOURITE, THOUGH, is when you can still see flashes of baby!S1!Octavian - namely every time he's onscreen with Titus Pullo. *blathers*

It is logical, I admit that. But I thought the writing for S2 was all over the place in general. It became so much more brutal and focused way too much on the sex side of things. I know that was a big selling point in S1 too, but it seemed more balanced then.
Oooh, question!
*SPOILERS*
Do you think Lucius really died in the end? A lot of people suggested Titus' lack of real grief in the scene with Octavian suggested he didn't, and it was all an elaborate coverup about the kid. (Me, I thought it was a symptom of said bad writing, but I'd be interested in your thoughts on it.)

2. I do not live in Britain, nor have access to BBCA. If the show is half as good as the game (http://cdx-thegame.com/)...
