sophistry: ([Misc] DO NOT WANT)
So last night, of course, my dad and I had to lug all the (SUPER HEAVY) furniture back in by ourselves, during which process he noticed - as he was presumably too tired to do at 6am yesterday morning - that my lifting method is not the one prescribed by People Against Back Injury Everywhere. He proceeded to bully me into correcting it, which was responsible of him... except for the fact that there's a reason I don't crouch right down and lift heavy objects from the leg, and it's because my hamstrings are fucked.

This morning, I awoke to - or rather, was woken by - a leg cramp so bad that I actually spasmed. SPASMED.

It is a day of couch-camping and very gentle walking-it-off for me, today. Not that the museum work involves that much heavy lifting or high-kicks, but I do work the equivalent of about two floors up from the archive room that I need to visit... pretty much constantly. And considering how long it took me to get downstairs this morning, that's, uh. Not really an option.

Owwww.

*hobbles around slowly*

AND, as if this weren't torment enough, public maintenance something-or-other means we have no water from 9am to 5pm. No tea! No coffee! No... water! UGH TODAY SUCKS.
