I hope a bunch of people smack my sister in the FACE today. More on this later (maybe). For now, brb going to see if can snatch another hour's sleep.
YEAH.
TAKE THAT.
Also, today we had people come to do... something to the wood floors in a couple of rooms at home. Meaning that last night, my mum was marching around being all Hollywood drill sergeant and making us swear blood oaths to get up at 6am to help move all the (SUPER HEAVY) furniture out to the back garden. Of course, once 6am rolls around? It's just my dad and yrstrly, heaving three sofas, two armchairs, four tables, two bookcases, and assorted pouffes, bins, storage boxes, etc. out onto the patio. At 6am. And covering them with tarps. At 6am. On Monday morning. In February.
I hate everyone today. Everyone.
On the upside (?) my eavesdropping1 tells me that the public sector strike on Thursday may include museum attendants, which - if they refuse to, y'know, let us into our offices - means no work. On the one hand: yay, sleeping in + study time (I love how this is a good thing dslfkjs). On the other: if anyone manages to not get the memo and turn up in the rain knocking forlornly at the door for 20 minutes, it'll be me.
1Does it even count as eavesdropping if people are like. Having a perfectly audible conversation from opposite corners of the room?
